Fern is a male contestant and the canon winner of Battle for Dream Island Elsewhere. Fern is a green fern frond with a greenish-yellow streak running through the middle, giving him a similar appearance to Leafy. Fern is friendly if not skittish and somewhat absent-minded. He avoids confrontation, though often gets caught up in it unwillingly, in which case he will surrender immediately, showing that he is rather meek.
