The Putrescent Knight (泥濘の騎士, Nukarumi no Kishi, lit. "Mud Knight") is a Boss in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Interred within stone coffins and buried at sea in an age long past, the stagnant, congealed remains of tainted heroes eventually drifted toward the Gravesite Plain of the Lands Between, where all Death converges. Though putrescence was once incinerated in ghostflame by Deathbirds, the contents of the vessels leaked and pooled at the bottom of the Stone Coffin Fissure, where they lingered in endless wait...
