River Spirit

The unnamed River Spirit (河の神 Kawa no Kami, lit. God of River) is a supporting character in the Japanese animated film Spirited Away, directed by Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli. He first appears as a grubby, sludge-infested spirit, referred to by Yubaba and her subordinates as a "Stink Spirit", but is soon revealed to be an extremely wealthy and powerful spirit in the Spirit Realm.
