K-2SO was a modified KX-series security droid who served in the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Originally created for the Imperial Army, the droid was deployed in 2 BBY as part of the Galactic Empire's efforts to quell protests on the planet Ghorman. After the Ghorman Massacre and encountering the Axis network operative Cassian Jeron Andor, K-2SO was incapacitated by Samm, a member of the Ghorman Front, and salvaged by Andor.
