Booster odds and rarities, explained
Five cards, one guaranteed Rare or better, a 3% Mythic chance: the exact pull rates of a FanBoosters booster and how booster tokens refill.
We publish our odds. The server draws every booster before you even start tearing it, and here is exactly how it draws them.
Five slots, each with its own odds
A booster has five cards. Each slot rolls its rarity on its own table:
| Slot | Common | Uncommon | Rare | Epic | Legendary | Mythic |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 3 | 78% | 22% | - | - | - | - |
| 4 | - | 62% | 30% | 8% | - | - |
| 5 (the hit) | - | - | 58% | 27% | 12% | 3% |
The fifth card is always Rare or better. The cards are then revealed in rising rarity, so your best pull is always the last one.
What that means per booster
On average, one booster holds:
- 2.34 Commons and 1.28 Uncommons
- 0.88 Rares and 0.35 Epics
- 0.12 Legendaries and 0.03 Mythics
In other words, about one booster in seven ends on a Legendary or a Mythic, and about one in thirty-three on a Mythic. These are averages: luck has no memory, and a Mythic can land on your first pack or make you wait.
No duplicates inside a booster
The five cards of a booster are always five different cards. Duplicates across boosters are part of collecting: they count in your binder, and they are what you trade with friends or sell on the market.
Booster tokens
Opening a booster costs a token. You can hold up to 10 tokens, and you get one back every 30 minutes, so an empty stock is full again five hours later. Tokens are free: there is nothing to buy.
Universe boosters and the All Collections booster
A universe booster draws only from that universe: the way to complete a set. The All Collections booster uses the same odds but draws from every universe at once: the way to discover new ones. Both cost one token.
